Environmental Management System (EMS)
Global ASR has provided support services to LA Metro's Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation at two (2) bus and two (2) rail facilities that were enrolled in the agency-wide EMS program. Global ASR supported site preparations for certification audits under the newly released ISO 14001:2015 standard and organized the core team meetings at these facilities.
Global ASR was a core team member during the Crenshaw LAX Corridor EMS implementation from 2015 when the project was undergoing preparation to be the first LA Metro capital construction project to be enrolled in the agency-wide EMS program. Global ASR supported the internal audits and external certification audit that successfully garnered the certification for the project. GlobalASR participated in bi-weekly EMS implementation meetings and supported internal and external audits when necessary.Global ASR has also participated in root cause analysis of issues found during these audits as part of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) continual improvement process.
In 2023, Global ASR performed the internal EMS audit at several LA Metro bus and rail facilities/divisions. Internal audit findings were reported to the Admin team prior to the scheduled external audit for a 3rd party certification agency.
Global ASR will be conducting a Programmatic Evaluation of Compliance (PEC) audit after the completion of the external audit.
